The speed of progression... fascinating.

Oh man! I leave you for one month damn it! ONE MONTH! When I come back you have not only expanded your skills, but multiplyed them! This song has some extremely powerful methods used in it.

One of my favourite elements in this song is the pads in the background. I've always believed that a song must have a flawless background, or you cannot build on top of it, after all, how many skyscrapers can be built on the desert? This song has just that, a very flexible, and well built Background.

The melody is very catchy, i'll be humming this loudly into the ears of my friends. Towards the end, where you have two synths going together, forming counter-melodies, I found that part truly fascinating.

You have taken the time to produce something wonderful for me Dj-SilenT-HunteR, I will spend my last reviews on all your works.

You have done wonderfully, keep them coming man. Easily a 5/5 from me.

Dj-SilenT-HunteR responds:

HI MaestroSorrow!!! ^_^
I wanted to make you proud, like i said before, i learn new things everyday!

You are my idol :)

Truly sad

Hey there Medieval7.

Lets jump right into the song. I found the beginning was a little too boring. The fun really begun at 0:50 where that violin melody kicks in. All of it leading up to this part takes a bit too long. I consider 30 seconds being the rule of thumb before you should change or add things to the melody.

Lovely work with that choir.

I felt the sudden melody change at 2:00 was a very interesting twist, and could have been handled differently. It was a little too abrupt, changing from the slow, painful melody to a hyper depressed kind of feel.

Putting all that aside, I really liked your melody again. It seems i'm enjoying your melody work a great deal, I don't know why, I just like them a good deal.

4/5 from me Medieval7, keep them coming man. I won't be around NG much, so i'll be writing a few reviews here, trying to be as critical and constructive as possible.

medieval7 responds:

ok, thanks for your review

Inspiring again

Quite impressive medieval7, then again, everything you've submitted is something impressive. I really enjoy the pace of this song, and those strings work very well together.

I just didn't like the end, it makes for a good loop I suppose, but far too abrupt.

I would suggest adding another instrument, but that would be... quite difficult, with all the notes you already have rushing by you x_x.

One of the better orchestrated pieces i've heard, congrats on a job well done, 5/5 from me.

Awesome!

this is like fermenting cheese, and twice as entertaining :D!!

Keep it up.

three 5ives from me!

wesdood responds:

i love you man. you are a swell muscician

A fitting piece

How could I not review a song that has part of my name in it.

As you probably figured, I like listening to sadder pieces, so I can probably offer you more advice.

The strings in the background are quite effective, but I think you should replace that plucking string, with bells. High octave, reverbed, maybe delayed bells.

When the strings pick up with the vocals, it gets quite moving.

At this point, I really think a cello would work very well, a nice deep voice to merge with all the other high pitched voices. It would make the song sound "fuller".

On another note, have you considered putting sound effects in songs like this? You know a beach sound, rain, fire, wind, those kind of things, would work magic on sad songs. If you listen to my song Soul of Viano, you will see what I mean.

Great stuff again medieval7, this easily gets my 5/5. Keep them coming.

medieval7 responds:

Thanks for your advices. A good review from a composer such as you makes my day better. Thanx

Impressive

Nice melody work again.

The neat thing about these sounds you are using, is simply that though they sound classical, they do have their own electronic qualities. A morph, a mutant, but a good one none-the-less.

I can imagine this song with a nice flute as well, I think it would benefit from one a good deal.

5/5 from me again medieval7. Good stuff, keep them coming.

(I really should check out your techno stuff while i'm here ^^)

medieval7 responds:

thank you, Maestro

Nice!

The first thing that came to mind, was the awesome vocal near the end? You have to email me and tell me how you did that, its a very powerful feel, I want to emulate for my own songs.

The strings are indeed quite powerful. Simple, yet effective.

Great work Fehn, I would love to hear this as a full song.

5/5 from me.

Fehn responds:

Hi there!
The vocals at the end, yeaaaaaah...
well, they reaaaally wasnt supposed to be there, I thought I took em out. Apperantly not.Great that somebody likes something I do though, cheers m8!

awesome

awesome... so serene, so laid back, yet those progressions in the background are so aggressive.

An interesting feel.

Good work RaustBlackDragon, I have little to say about this song that wouldn't alter its core completely. Its fine the way it is.

5/5 from me.

Neat

This sounds so damn amazing. What VST Program did you use to make them. I am quite fascinated by the sounds here, it sounds so damn fine, and refined.

The melody structure is quite useful too. Makes for good ambiant music.

That violin stab though, I didn't quite like, seemed kinda... random.

Impressive 1812, keep them coming.

Truly moving

this was truly sad, moving so gently... it moved me a great deal.

I know this was just supposed to be a piano piece, but I can imagine this piece with a gentle rain, viola/flute weaving in and out of the piano.

So gentle.

This is a really good piece. 5/5 from me LfunkeyA, again this song so deserves to be in Classical, not Misc.

LfunkeyA responds:

thanks again man, I was afraid that this would get a bad review. It probably will get bad reviews, but I felt like posting it. It is good as a basis for something, actually it sounds very nice when reversed, but that would be cheating:). I will have to improve it.

It's been one hell of a ride guys, but it's time for me to leave. I will still be looking at my inbox, if you want me to look at songs, I will check back every once in a while. Take care Newgrounds! full_metal_slashemist@hotmail.com AIM: MaestroSorrow
