Powerful stuff

it definatly has a great goth, dark feel to it. Well done.

I can tottally see the shadows flickering, thriving on the fear of the owners that cast them.

You can't run from a shadow, even if you run in complete darkness, the darkness becomes the shadow, and consumes the mind.

Great imagery sprout forth from this song. Simplistic, but powerful. 5/5 from me DJ_PNF, great stuff.

Inspiring

your brother is quite talented.

The song flows amazingly well, the voice is crisp, clean and perfectly understandable.

The lyrics are deep, and meaningful.

This is a real gem on Newgrounds, kinda reminds me of Metallica's Unforgiven, but still, awesome.

5/5 from me mrslippyfist1. Thank your brother for me.

awesome

Awesome feel, made me get up and dance, and with my parents in the living room with me, I got enough strange looks. So I took it outside, and small kids laughed at me...

:'(

Love the vocals, well fused into the song. I have little to add to this song, I think its fine the way it is.

Great gating, everything was gated, but it worked out well. I'm a classical composer myself, and so when I heard the piano, I was dancing about even harder. Good choice.

5/5 from me Shazbat, keep them coming.

Excellent stuff

hey, pretty neat. I would never have thought of using a woodwind for that 007 melody.

Great saxaphone, sounds so damn real, is it? Some great improvisation here. I don't listen to nearly enough jazz, you've convinced me to take a deeper dive into the genre.

The flute sounds pretty damn awesome too. They sound so real. Where did you get them? Please do email me, I'm quite interested what VST you're using.

5/5 from me mrslippyfist1, I truly enjoyed it, great stuff, keep them coming.

pretty neat

right away, you blast me with an epic feel. Well done.

I didn't quite like the break down, where the song started up again, I felt it was kinda unnecessary. I really liked it when the stringy synths popped in, it became quite epic and battle feel again.

Then it changes into a more brutal fighting style. This song would be pretty awesome if you used some better samples, don't get me wrong, its brilliant as it is, but with some higher quality sounds, this would be kick ass.

4/5 from me X_Infinity_Zero, keep em coming.

X-Infinity-Zero responds:

glad u liked it. i made this on acid a long time ago and just dug it back up and posted it.i like the way it sounds but ur right some better samples would be great. im messing around with FL at this time so ill try to see what i can do with this song. lol now that i listen to it ur right the break down was kinda unnecessary but it just gives me somthing to improve on.
thanx for the review.

Keep at it.

I use you have disovered the Sytrus folder in FL ^^, and the phaser effect, as well as the drumloop folder. Not a bad combination, and you've definately got the ear, lets hear you play some notes now.

I'm quite anxious to see what you're capable of.

JoeTuber responds:

Thank you! One of my "friends" keeps on insulting me for everything I create, and it's not just limited to music. Thank you for the compliment, and thank you for the material to prove to this "friend" that I don't suck!

A real milestone

You should be quite proud of this i2abbitz, well remixed, and Darth_Synth brought up some pretty important things, though I personally don't see them as too big an issue in this song, if anything I feel its pretty fine the way it is.

Good use of the pan, I find that usually when they are used, they are distracting, but these were well utilized.

5/5 from me for this one i2abbitz, a true milestone for you. Keep them coming.

Impressive

i'm listening to this song at midnight... i'm getting... sleepy.

It does its job pretty good i2, very short, yet very soothing. Nice background cello's just humming away.

The bells were a pretty good idea, nice touch.

So many new songs to listen to... so late... must... keep listening >_<.

4/5 from me i2abbitz, soothing.

Good stuff

Good use of the phaser and if I am not mistaken, the Flanger effect?

You present some good sounds, everything melds in well together, and all trance should follow in that manner.

To add more background support, try to use some nice ambiant pads, to give it a "humming" effect, as a kind of platform to stand on. Save the ending where it gets really quiet and slowly dies off, that part is perfect the way it is.

Good stuff TMM43 ^^ 4/5 from me.

Gotta love the compressers ^^

heh, you've hit that problem huh? I hated it when I first tried to use this many instruments, it is difficult to control each voice, and make them sing united. Like herding a crowd of ADHD children, on coffee, and half as pleasent.

Despite its really really fast pace, and notes, the song progresses quite nicely.

The volume is definatly too high, I am unsure of what program you use, but Reason and Fruity Loops both have a "compressor" effect, which will reduce the volume to an acceptable point, and remove all distortion, for sure check that out. If not, lower the master volume by 20-30%.

A pleasent story, I enjoyed listening to it Rythim_Man, great stuff man, 5'ved and dl'ed. Keep em coming.

Damn, you're moving too eh? Drop me a note when you're back on NG, so I can put your page on my "active composers' list ^^.

Once again, great stuff.

Rythim-Man responds:

Don't laugh at me, but it didn't sound clear until I played it using my default MIDI player. I have no program that converts MIDI to MP3 though so I recorded using stereo mix :p You can imagine what problems I had. Even though it's stereo mix, the quality is not as high as it would be if I had just rendered it. My program compresses as well, but stereo mix recording is stream recording and there is no compressing method available. So when I played it, it was clear, but once I recorded it, it went all wrong.

It's been one hell of a ride guys, but it's time for me to leave. I will still be looking at my inbox, if you want me to look at songs, I will check back every once in a while. Take care Newgrounds! full_metal_slashemist@hotmail.com AIM: MaestroSorrow
