Getting better!

Definatly has improved.

I like the percussional stuff again, you've managed to use that well, simple, yet effective.

There are some strange notes being played by that synth you inroduce right away, at some points, it has this sour feel to it, but only for one or two notes, so its not that big an issue.

The song however, it quite intact, does not struggle with itself, nor does it clash at any point, which is always a plus.

It's definatly become a neat tune ^^.

5/5 from me shootingBLiND, coming along nicely, keep them coming.

shootingBLiND responds:

thanx maestro, and thanx for the quick tut with the other presets and all of that

Impressed

Heh, I was expecting a much heavier melody with your description.

This doesn't sound too torn up, sorry but it doesn't :P.

It does have subtle dones of frustration and anger though, so i'll give it that.

Good structure, and it does sound pretty neat, so i'll give you that.

5/5 from me for this Rythim_Man, sounds pretty wicked, keep them coming.

Rythim-Man responds:

Well, they don't give me enough room to accurately describe it...but hey they give me room here!!

Ok, I made this song because I was real ticked off at my friend because she use to come to me when she felt noone liked her but then I saw her gossiping about one of my friends and I felt used, or betrayed, just plain frustrated and angry...but it was subtle because at the same time I couldn't stay mad...she was my friend, and to be mad at her would hurt me more than help me. That's why you can sense anger, but some pain as well. (I'm serious folks, my heart was actually hurtinng lol). I didn't like it when I made it cuz it reminded me of it, but now that I'm not mad anymore it sounds kinda cool. I actualy made that trying to make a bright tune but the whole situation was so on my mind it turned into...this. I called it pitiless because I was trying so hard not to show pity because when I told her I'm not talking to her nomore she cried, but I still tried not to care. trying not to care was tearing me up inside.

Good stuff1

Sounding a good deal better Rythim_Man ^^.

The only other thing I can think of now, is the sound quality. If you learned how to use VST's, or soundfonts, you could do some crazy stuff to your songs, and up their level by leaps and bounds.

Still I very muched enjoyed the remake, good job Rythim_Man,

4/5 from me, keep them coming ^^.

Rythim-Man responds:

Sound quality....VST....oh no! There is so much more to learn?! Please, tell me more about this VST, I want my audio to be the best! And uh, you guys will probably hate me for it, but if that VST really does increase it by leaps and bounds, I'll re-do Match With King Dee Dee using it...if I could... Imagine 3 Match With King Dee Dee's. Sound fonts...I'm going to have to send you a message about that but I'll do a search for it first....sounds interesting ^.^

Wow Maestro, you must have been waiting for this or something, do you choose to respond only to Match With King Dee Dee?

Awesome.

It is indeed better balanced, I enjoyed this version much more then the other. It's the minor, small changes that can sometimes, improve a song ten fold.

I was skeptical about those piano notes, when they are together they sound quite strange, but I decided that even this adds a very interesting style and flavour to the song.

I enjoy all your pieces Aephion.

This one is also very relaxing, and this is music the portal is lacking. Everybody is looking for hyper tunes, so few for songs like this. I am glad you have made it, I enjoyed listening to it greatly.

I understand that its ambiance so its supposed to be a bit repetitive, but I feel you should have thrown in a supportive string as well, somewhere after the middle, so that it sounds new and enticing.

Another 5/5 from me Aephion, keep them coming ^^.

Aephion responds:

Thanks so much! I'm really glad you like my songs :D I'll try and fiddle with some strings past half, like you said, and see what it sounds like ^_^

So relaxing

it has a very very relaxing air to it... I closed my lights, lay back and let this gentle piece just wash over me again and again.

I would highly HIGHLY recommend finding better shore sounds. The only thing this song is missing is that. If you had really high quality shore sounds, it would have sent me into a trance.

And better bird sounds too Aephion, please.

(5 for diversity cuz you just have a kick neat piano and strings going on)

I'm still giving you a 5/5 because I really appreciated this song. As a classical composer myself, I just look for the atmosphere of a song, and the melody. Both of these criteria were well met here. Keep them coming Aephion.

Aephion responds:

Wow ^_^
I'm so happy you like it, because this one was really very simplistic. Mayhaps you could advise me some sources for samples that might be helpful? I'd love to make my works of a better quality :)

Another wunderbar!

I really enjoyed the atmosphere.

I think you should definatly find some better sounding samples Juiceman, for sure your music would sound much better, and do this crazy melody some good justice!

It distorts a fair amount when the bass drums come in, for sure look into that ^^.

The vox was amazing, I think it really added some neat flavour.

And you were right, the strings towards the end were pretty fine!

Very diverse piece, enjoyed it greatly, keep them coming Juiceman, another 5/5 from me ^^.

Juiceman713 responds:

It makes me happy that a fellow Listener enjoys my work. I am getting better loop sounds soon. Im getting FL Studio 6, so it will have better instraments. Thanx

Very impressive!

I really liked it Juiceman!

I like this song to no end, and I believe your remix has done it some amazing justice.

I have nothing to say that doesn't classify as rant ^^. So i'll leave you with my 5/5 plus a voodoo curse! Keep them coming.

Juiceman713 responds:

Thanx a lot. I heard your classical loops, and loved them.

Pretty good ^^.

heh, sorry I pressed the wrong button. My review for From All Sides, should go here in Inspiration ^^. So I will write my review for From All Sides here, sorry for the mix up X_x.

It has a neat energetic feeling. That constant kick keeps the song going, and it progresses nicely.

This song has a ton of potential man, you can throw in some crazy synths, and have them play a neat melody on top of this. This is a very good foundation for a full fledged song, as it is, it is pretty much ambiance.

I didn't quite appreciate the "go-gogo) voice, I feel it is unnecessary.

For future reference, any and all trance songs should have a pad in the background, throwing some kind of ambient sound to give it that trance/ambient feeling that so many are accustomed to ^^.

The drum roll transition was pretty damn neat.

4/5 from me this time shootingBLiND, keep them coming ^^.

shootingBLiND responds:

thanx a lot for the advice, yea, the go voice thing sounded real tacky and out-of-nowhere, i think u'll be seeing a full song from this thanx to your advice, P.S. i sent ya an email

Neat.

I agree, its a pretty chill beat. Layman is right, adding a nice reverb (cathedral would work pretty good I think, cathedral being preset number 4 in the reverb effect... at least for Fruity Studio's 5, which I use ^^).

Nice simple beat, can't really give any advice for it, it sounds fine.

4/5 from me shootingBLiND. Keep them coming.

shootingBLiND responds:

oh wait, i guess u already got my email heh, oh yea, i tried the cathedral preset and lower the volume on the effect down a little, it sounds great, thanx for the advice guys

Impressive.

Interesting air you present here. I think it fits perfectly in ambiant trance.

I liked the bells, really gave it a unique taste, and unraveled a rather interesting story for myself. I always look for stories in songs, it makes the song more real and appreciatable for me ^^.

You make good use of synths, and if I am not mistaken that is Sytrus going on back there. I could be wrong.

Had a very pleasent air to it, very enjoyable.

I would replace that kick, it just seems out of place. In fact I don't think you should put any drums or kicks into this piece, that way its more ambient, more trancey.

5/5 from me shootingBLiND, keep them coming ^^.

shootingBLiND responds:

wow u really do know your stuff man, that is sytrus. btw the original song is at tempo 140 which sounded good with the percussion, the one here on NG is at tempo 120 i believe. thanx again for the advice, you have great talent Meastro

It's been one hell of a ride guys, but it's time for me to leave. I will still be looking at my inbox, if you want me to look at songs, I will check back every once in a while. Take care Newgrounds! full_metal_slashemist@hotmail.com AIM: MaestroSorrow
