Greatly improved

it has improved rather dramatically!

The vocal stabs as usual, were great, and was the rain more detailed in this piece?

it doesn't matter, here comes THE SAW!!!

*does the wave*

I am glad to hear it extended, truly now I have some time to live in it.

After the saw ended there was a second of silence, in my opinion, when a second of silence is introduced it generally means, BIG BANG HAPPENING, it didn't happen, that was okay of course, but that is the feel I felt I was going to get with that transition.

The strings, were very powerful, well done on that part.

And now HERE COMES BACK THE SAW!

And the thunder, wow! My suggestions for the thunder my friend, reverb reverb reverb! Give it a nice hallow and delay effect so it goes BOOM-OOm-oom-om.

The rain cuts out a bit too quickly, and suddenly.

Still great improvement, i'm glad you decided to finish it, I enjoyed it quite a bit.
5/5 from me Echo, keep them coming, i'll keep listening.

XxEchoxX responds:

Yea, I did decide to change up some of the rain in this one, the other seemed a bit to dull. I also noticed after submission that parts of the rain did cut off the quickly...too bad. But anyway thanks for the review and your input really appreciate it.

one day... you WILL be shot...

the anticipation to what your going to throw at me when I was sitting and watching that pad get louder and louder and louder... I can never get enough of that effect!

I love the way it started slow after the cliff hanger, and built up again, I LOVE THOSE BUILD UPS! I was expecting a grand BOOM, and I got a grand melody, which in my opinion is just as good if not better.

The ONLY suggestion that comes to mind was I would have liked to hear some strange and new sound effects in there, of course for this song, I can understand why there weren't many.

I feel like I can take the world, and crush it with this song, gives me fuel to exist ^^, many thanks for that.

Again, you've easily reached and bypassed my standards William, 5/5 for you.

MattBlair responds:

OMG I love you. Thanks for this insanely awesome review bro!

*smirk*... butterflies.

XD, oh god, another heelarious image just POPPED up in my head when I was listening to this.

Little butterflies that have little fireworks strapped onto their little furry bodies, buzzing around one panicked man, crackling all around >_<.

Hee, it's got a very silly air to it, I absolutely adored it.

4/5 because its a neat sound, and I had fun listening to it, keep them coming attempted.

attemptedperfection responds:

...I could've sworn I already responded to this review...
ah well.
I never cease to be amused by the imagery your interpretations bring to my music.
I should definately have an explosion or something at the end...
oh, those mischievous little buggers and their kamikaze tactics...
Thanks for the review!

Sweet stuff!

not bad... not bad at all!

The distortion levels were above normal, it seriously damages the waveform in several places, I would highly suggest a compresser effect, to keep the waveform of the music stable, and to remove any distortion outside of what you intend.

The bells resonate a bit too much in my opinion, it becomes a little muddled.

Though I understand this is meant to be trance, it was a bit repetitive, perhaps changing pads, or synth sounds, throw in some more effects to keep it fresher and be new.

The ending was definatly really cool, I loved that part.

The melody was pretty damn fine, I was immediatly grabbed by it.

This was a very neat theme. congratulations to both you and Zenon, on work well done.

CagedRealm responds:

thanks for the review I will keep in mind for the future to limit any distortion I use. Glad you liked the song.

sounds pretty good!

I like that deep bass melody thing going on, that slide effect, I was rather skeptical of at first, but when I considered it, it works out pretty well, especially when the higher pitched synth kicks in with its own slide, THAT was quite entertaining ^^.

I don't know, I think it sounds pretty neat :D, with some pretty strange effects that only added to the flavour.

Though some different synth sound selection may have done you better, I still loved it.

4/5 from me attempted, keep them coming ^^.

attemptedperfection responds:

As always, your input is much appreciated. I just couldn't get this one to sound the way I wanted it to, so I figured I'd give up and start working on something original. Glad you liked it, though; maybe some other people will too.
Thanks for the review!

Good stuff!

for a title like "battle against time" one would expect some fast paced action ^^.

The sytrus plugin's were used quite nicely i'll give them that, it provided quite a unique experience at having both go off like that.

A really fast paced drum beat would have also added to it, however for your second song, its not bad at all!

4/5 from me again SilenT, keep them coming.

Neat.

just keeps going and going and going and going and going (etc).

Some interesting use of bass here, and I see you utilized pan handling here, nice touch ^^.

I think this should have gone to the Industrial Genre, it doesn't really strike me as techno, its got a nice solid beat as well.

4/5 from me SilenT, keep them coming.

good stuff.

A very interesting loop for sure, at first I was very skeptical about the flanger, unless the song is atechno one, i've found flanger doesn't work well.

This worked actually pretty good.

Still i'd upload a version that doesn't have flanger, cuz as it stands, without the flanger it sounds like a very sad and moving piece.

4/5 from me Unholy, keep them coming.

It's been one hell of a ride guys, but it's time for me to leave. I will still be looking at my inbox, if you want me to look at songs, I will check back every once in a while. Take care Newgrounds! full_metal_slashemist@hotmail.com AIM: MaestroSorrow
