Getting pretty good!

heh, right away t'was interesting with that straange arse effect.

The beat was something else in this one, and then the notes begin to fade in, this is where it begins to get interesting!

It changes a lot, which I noticed is a common factor in a lot of your songs, this is a good sign, I like to listen to pieces that have effort built into them.

I think this would work better under Ambient.

Suggestions... hmm...

Well to be honest, I don't think I have too many ideas for suggestions, its a stable, solid beat that really shouldn't be messed around with too much.

5/5 from me, keep them coming starfoxtechno.

FoxTechno responds:

Thanks again mate. another old song on my cassete tapes this was. so i cant fiddle with it anymore. im on my 35 cd now at home, with some of my best work i think ive done, ive got 6 more songs to submit. then after that, my best work. even some drum and bass coming soon. KEEP AN EYE OUT. CHEERS ALL.

Pretty impressed!

And then the clouds split and FIRE CAME POURING!

Heh, sorry, the intro was truly catchy and thats the image I got when I first heard it ^^.

A good thing you did here, was keep that melodic theme until you had progressed well into the song. After you were done introducing the instruments, you jumped to another melody, gave a little flavour, and then returned to the original melody.

Good planning, easy to listen to.

Suggestions... hmm...

Though it was a good idea to use that original melody, I would advice using it that often. It gave the song a constant and reassuring beat, however in order to maximise listener appreciation, I would mix it up every once in a while, maybe throw in a Riff, maybe rearrange the notes, go into a hyper solo, that kind of stuff.

The drum beat was solid, nice work.

5/5 from me, keep them coming Chrizzly

Chrizzly responds:

That was one aweomse review...omg youre right....the fire DID come pouring...god how could i forget the solo...i was going to add a solo somewhere but i totally forgot it :(...thta mix up thing was a good idea...ill use that in "future realeases...if it was the same "mix up thing" i was thinkin about as u thought about...anyway thanx man...good that ppl are still reviewing, and this was (once again) an awesome review!

High Expectation.

what kind of forest O_o?

Heh, has an INCREDIBLY dark and tense atmosphere to it. I can't give you much criticism on only this alone, but I look forward to the song if you decide to make it.

Keep them coming.

5/5 for effectively capturing my attention with only like 10 seconds of sound X_x.

DJdarkangel responds:

hey there :)
Nah... i dont think this will make it as a song :)

But my next piece will be great... i hope it goes well here, i'm really putting in alot of thought on it :)

ANyways

DarkAngel out...

Great stuff.

this was an extremely relaxing and intoxicating piece. I literally swam in its pleasent atmosphere for the better part of the hour. Very nice.

Hmm... suggestions...

Well I think the bass was indeed a bit too low.

The instrument choice was EXCEPTIONAL, I don't think adding/changing/removing anything would make the song sound better then it does right now.

I heard this rattle snake kind of sound somewhere, make that louder, it'll add more flavour >:P.

Volume and track placement were mastered, indeed this deserves nothing less then 5.

Congrats man, keep them coming.

Weapongod30 responds:

Thanks man! Hey, do you have aim? Or E-Mail? Cause then I could send it to you! Anyways, thank you much! And, I realize, that I had a version with the bass higher, but I aparently uploaded the wrong version, lol. T_T Thx!

(Woah. I said thanks, like three times in that paragraph, and if you include that last one, four times!)

very interesting.

very raw, very powerful.

When I say raw, I don't mean bad raw, as in, raw emotions jumping out tearing at the listeners.

I understand how you make your music now, and in respect of your statement, I will not suggest anything, only my reaction to the song.

It was interesting, because the imagery I got was solid, but the emotions for that image kept flucuating, on and off onto different emotions (for example, I hear dark hatred, and then it turns to anger, then it slowly shifts to vile fear).

4/5 this time Misery, keep them coming.

Misery666 responds:

I am open to your ideas, I would like to hear peoples suggestions on improvement or what they think would add a nice element to the music like say a piano melody here and some strings there. etc. I appreciate you taking the time to listen and review my music. The descriptions of emotions and athestic's you felt in my music are subjective. I agree though, I express alot of dark negative energy into this song. The song sounding despodent and hyptnotic when the after the crash you hear a wave of different emotions through a void of despair almost. Thanks for the review and constructive critism.

Misery

Great stuff.

oooh, I like the tense air you introduce! The strange air effects make it really tense and scary, this should GO INTO SILENT HILL GAMES! So friggen scary... I was expecting footstep sounds, that would make it damn freightening.

I feel the strings you have that come and go really quickly should be rearranged, and made slighly quieter. It didn't seem to immediatly join the rest of the melody and a bit out of place.

The melody is good and constant.

5/5 from me, keep them coming.

Getting good.

oh wow!

Be bored more often!!! This was great.

Ironically just yesterday I put up a song that has techno, classical, trance, and rock elements in it, I think you might enjoy it, have a listen sometime.

onto the suggestions!

The intro was what really got me into it, it was a strange and intoxicating intro that kept me listening, expecting something great, something more.

Lucky for me, you didn't disappoint.

The progression was really good, the beat was neat. Then the uber fast techno part smacks me in my forehead. That was a neat idea, but I think if you arranged it a bit to make it more melodic it would have helped, it doesn't really work out when you introduce the fast techno, with the piano. At that part it got a little muddled.

Also, whats up with this having no ending >_<, just ends.

Still, you've improved by quite a large margin in just these past three songs.

5/5, keep them coming.

DJdarkangel responds:

Hey there,

To tell you the truth i didn't really put alot of thought into it.
It was just *blah this sample sux, but i'll put it in anyway*
Sorta like that :) if i put some work on it i'll bet that it would make a nifty song, but in my opinion it sorta sux now :)

Anywayz maybe i'll get some work down on it and repost :)

Untill then i'm going to listen to your piece hihih :)

Cyaz
DarkAngel out...

Good stuff.

heh, for an old song it was really good!

The voices in the background were intoxicating! Especially that woman's voice, really got me into it.

Suggestions.

The volume levels were a little strange man, I think you need to work a bit on your equalizing, it seemed a little too flat for me.

Also it took quite a while before the melody hit home, my BIGGEST suggestion concerning quite a few of your pieces, is to shorten the intro. They would make good ambiance I guess, but thats limiting the song to its uses.

The song changed styles quite a few times, which is good, it shows you put effort in your pieces.

4/5 from me, keep them coming.

FoxTechno responds:

Thanks for review. this is such an old song, i cant change it anymore. its only on cd now. im not sure about the sound. some of my songs ive submitted on ng, have sped up or lost sound for some reason. most of my songs go over 4 mins. thats another problem with. i userly have to fade songs out. any way cheers again.

How strange.

This was quite nice.

I would check into those snares, they sounded like they had a chorus effect put on them, and that made them sound strange.

However the melody was pretty damn fine, I liked it a good amount.

It was a really strange piece, with strange imagery I got from it, but definatly usable.

I didn't quite like the harpischord part man, didn't work out too well.

5/5 from me, because it was truly something strange and entertaining to listen to.

snoballandthmonyshot responds:

hey,
thanks for the review!
the beat is just a cut up loop and the original was pretty rough but i liked the feel so i went with it anyway. I quite liked the akward clunkiness of the harpsicord myself but different strokes and all that:)
thanks again,
;ped

It's been one hell of a ride guys, but it's time for me to leave. I will still be looking at my inbox, if you want me to look at songs, I will check back every once in a while. Take care Newgrounds! full_metal_slashemist@hotmail.com AIM: MaestroSorrow
