good concept.

Good use of soundeffects, but I would definatly reconsider that really high synth, that plays that melody. I feel it doesn't fit in with the rest of the song that well.

It does however sound like a very interesting piece. I would like to see a finished version.

I think if you had used saws, it would have proven more useful, especially for a title like that ^^.

Also the flanger effect would have given it a neat effect, do try to fit that in somewhere.

Good stuff so far, keep it up ^^.

shootingBLiND responds:

yes, i finally stumped ya, i did use the flanger on the sytrus lol, and i know what u mean with the synth, its even higher but i toned it down with the B overdrive, thanx for the input tho maestro, u always give some good advice

Finish it!

indeed, this song begs for completion. I demand a finished version sometime this week ^^.

Good stuff tF, i'm really liking how it sounds, keep them coming.

tF-ownedyou responds:

It wont be done this week :P It'll prolly be a week or 2 or a month.. i dunno.. it'll be done when its done :P I wont submit till i get this one finished.. i promise mister MaestroSorrow :)

The originality doesn't end ^^!

another neat tune. Again you are quite the original artist, and again I am impressed by how original these pieces are.

I really think a background pad might make this song even more interesting you know.

I wish the best for you, you have some serious potential, keep them coming ^^.

another 5/5 from me, and one more for Zi3ntar2.

Zi3ntar responds:

Hmm...
I guest you are be my FAVORITE person.
Anather 10 ?
Awww...
You are sooo Cool Men !!

Impressive!

what a strange song. The progression is lovely, and when that melody hits, it becomes even more interesting. I don't think i've EVER come across a melody like this, its truly inspiring.

Very oroginal stuff Zi3ntar, so top marks there.

I also adore the synths you chose for this song, it's simply amazing, they all comply so well.

Some neat arse effects at the end ^^.

5/5 from me Zi3ntar, keep them coming.

Zi3ntar responds:

10 ??!!
This is tooo muth !
But if you like it.

Im really glad you like it!
And thank you alot !!
^_^

Good stuff!

heh, thats right 586rick, take back that respect! This tune is teh roxors.

It loops really really good, which is always a plus right ^^.

Really good instrumentation usage, they all added a different, yet united voice to the picture.

Have you considered a pad in this song? I know there is that saw in the background, but I wonder what it would sound like with a pad. I could be wrong, it might sound bad, but who knows right?

Good stuff rick, keep them coming ^^.

586rick responds:

Yeah i'll take back my respect, lol. Thanks for the review, and i'll try at my home with a pad, i'll tell you if its good or not.

Neat stuff.

This was pretty neat. I really liked that song too ^^.

I don't know if those really high bells worked out too good. Perhaps if you lowered the volume levels a bit on them, maybe a reverb to really mix it up?

The song overall has a very serene, and gentle atmosphere.

There was one point in the song, where the bells VERY BADLY clashed, should definatly have a look into that X_x.

Still, awesome stuff, I respect both WV, and yourself, keep them coming.

ArKaineRevived responds:

Thanks a lot for your review, very constructive. But i don't really know what you mean with "the bells CLASHED badly...?" anyway, mail me about it if your want at fre_geutjens@hotmail.com, and add something like Februeeze or like that in the subject (i'm not too trusting when it comes to unknown mails ;))

Getting there!

I like this deep saw synth a LOT better then what you used last time! The notes are a lot better aligned also, which makes the sound much more stable, good job on that.

I would still like you to work on the percussional things. Until you feel more confident, don't be afraid to use the premade drum loops in Fruity Studios (Which I have the feeling you are using ^^)

Have you considered a Sytrus Pad in the background, I think it would add a very neat effect which would make the song a lot more enjoyable.

Effects, this is going to be the next thing you need to learn in order to make some kickin tunes! For future reference, reverb/delay/compression/flanger/flangus/filter are going to be your bestest friends if you want to continue the techno/trance field ^^.

Good luck, and keep them coming.

4/5 from me soul_of_darkness.

soul-of-darkness responds:

i really agree with you, but at the moment im not sure whats what so im just working my way through and adding stuff on now and then although i do agree with the drums so il get on that right away. thanks for your support and advice and im happy that you think that i am improving, that has really put me in a good mood^^ ok im gonna go experiment a little more, see-ya and thanks for all your help so far

More awesomeness

yay, more relaxing tunes ^^.

I can hear this in so many games, it suits perfectly into the quiet village life. Its simplestic, yet I have absolutely no quarral with it, it flows incredibly well.

When you added those strings in the background, I was quite pleased, it sounded marvelous.

I would reconsider the percussional work. I think it should be more steady, and you should remove that crash, or use it very sparingly. It would add a neat flavour, but when you use it to that degree, it will lose its flavour and become a hindrance to the song.

I would HIGHLY recommend quick shaker notes, you know like (TS-ts-TS-ts-TS-ts-TS-ts), in the majority of the song. Heh, I hope you understood what I was trying to say.

I am myself trying to learn how to make this type of music, great stuff Aephion, you did another good piece of work ^^. I hope one day we can do a collab.

Aephion responds:

I would absolutely love to do a collaboration some time ^_^
I'll send you an email, so then you'll have mine too ^_^

Damn cool!

yay battle themes! My favorite two styles of song, sad/relaxed, and battle/hyper, opposite spectrum = coolness!

(BTW, if you email me (email in profile), i'll give you some sick ass camp fire, wind, rain, and shore sounds).

I really liked how this song progresses, it becomes more and more powerful with each second!

I don't know if that high bleepy synth was the best choice for instrumentation, I thikn you should have used some kind of brass instead, and brought it down an octave or two, give it that brassy, deep foundation. I think tha twould have made it much more battle like.

The strings are damn awesome, however when you begin to introduce those strings, the synth disappears for a moment. I realize that this is perhaps a point in the song where its telling me a part of its story, but I feel that this did not work out that well, especially when you bring back the synthy sound. If you are going to take it away like that, I feel then it should have stayed away, if you know what I mean.

Still, it had a very tense, very upbeat, and exciting tone. I loved it.

5/5 from again Aephion ^^, keep them coming.

Aephion responds:

Great ^_^
I'm glad this worked out, 'cause I wasn't sure about my battlemusic skills whatsoever :) And your reviews are really helpful, so again, many thanks :D

Too moving >_<!

This is my first ska song I listened to, thanks to you, it will not be my last :).

It was a very very powerful piece, I had no idea ska could be so moving.

since i'm quite new to this genre of music, I have no advice to give you.

5/5 from me Gporev ^^.

Gporev responds:
