*smirk*... butterflies.

XD, oh god, another heelarious image just POPPED up in my head when I was listening to this.

Little butterflies that have little fireworks strapped onto their little furry bodies, buzzing around one panicked man, crackling all around >_<.

Hee, it's got a very silly air to it, I absolutely adored it.

4/5 because its a neat sound, and I had fun listening to it, keep them coming attempted.

...I could've sworn I already responded to this review...
ah well.
I never cease to be amused by the imagery your interpretations bring to my music.
I should definately have an explosion or something at the end...
oh, those mischievous little buggers and their kamikaze tactics...
Thanks for the review!

Another great.

from now on, I will not let you sleep! You are not allowed!

A very relaxing yet firm voice rings from its core at the beginning, and then you go all dark on my arse as the song progresses, and it turns from relaxing yet firm, to firm and menacing.

And then it changes AGAIN with the piano. I wonder where it is you get your inspiration.

Yet another great Kimken, all your missing now, is some good VST's man, if you used some better sound qualities, this has the potential of become "the" song.

5/5 again from me Kimken (until I find a way to program that 50/5, this will have to suffice.)

Keep them coming, i'll keep listening.

Kimken responds:

I remember when i started composing this piece. My first idea was to make a battle music with a little inspiration from Metal Gear Solid mixed with "cold mountains". Well it changed inte game music when the melody started and to a little "goth" later.

Where i get my inspiration?
-My inspiration MOSTLY comes from Castlevania, i have been a fan of that series ever since the first game got released and i just love the "goth" style and music of that game :)

And for the VST's... well this is an old song that i created 2003-2004 something, and i've learned a few things after that :D

So my future music will have better qualities of course :)

THX for the review

Sweet stuff!

not bad... not bad at all!

The distortion levels were above normal, it seriously damages the waveform in several places, I would highly suggest a compresser effect, to keep the waveform of the music stable, and to remove any distortion outside of what you intend.

The bells resonate a bit too much in my opinion, it becomes a little muddled.

Though I understand this is meant to be trance, it was a bit repetitive, perhaps changing pads, or synth sounds, throw in some more effects to keep it fresher and be new.

The ending was definatly really cool, I loved that part.

The melody was pretty damn fine, I was immediatly grabbed by it.

This was a very neat theme. congratulations to both you and Zenon, on work well done.

CagedRealm responds:

thanks for the review I will keep in mind for the future to limit any distortion I use. Glad you liked the song.

Wonderful!

I got goosebumps listening to this! Definatly a great and epic piece!

Some suggestions.

Keep that flute volume above the others man, a fairly large portion of the songs epic feel derives from that flute with the other higher pitched flute/piccolo (I think thats how its spelled).

This rings ESPECIALLY true when the flute gives us another blast of melody.

I wish I could give this 50/5 Kimken, you have inspired me greatly with this piece, keep them coming, I will keep on listening!

Kimken responds:

You really think so? Thanks!

But if I'd put that flute volume higher than the others, people would be complaining about it being too high instead.

Feels great that I've inspired someone with my work :)

And thanks for the review!

//Kheni (ken)

sounds pretty good!

I like that deep bass melody thing going on, that slide effect, I was rather skeptical of at first, but when I considered it, it works out pretty well, especially when the higher pitched synth kicks in with its own slide, THAT was quite entertaining ^^.

I don't know, I think it sounds pretty neat :D, with some pretty strange effects that only added to the flavour.

Though some different synth sound selection may have done you better, I still loved it.

4/5 from me attempted, keep them coming ^^.

attemptedperfection responds:

As always, your input is much appreciated. I just couldn't get this one to sound the way I wanted it to, so I figured I'd give up and start working on something original. Glad you liked it, though; maybe some other people will too.
Thanks for the review!

owie... my ears...

MY EARS!!!

attempted... I have no idea what you were thinking when you made this man... god, you can do so much better then this man.

I'm sorry I stopped the song about 30 seconds after it started, that was just wierd.

2/5 man, I know you can do so much better :'(.

maybe its just me, but all I heard was a mountain load of static, and very strange effects.

attemptedperfection responds:

That's all it was meant to be.
Thanks for the review!

Very impressed...

Easily my new favorite Heavy Metal piece. So refined, and well placed.

Demon_Slayer12, I must commend you on this piece, for it is truly powerful, and music of this quality is hard to come by.

The fact the song ended was a bummer :*(, heh.

The intro was what IMMEDIATLY grabbed me, such a simple, yet demanding part, that had me listening.

5/5 from me Demon, I will keep my eye on your works, keep them coming, for I will keep on listening.

Demon-Slayer12 responds:

Woah dude, I'm glad you liked the song, and more songs will keep coming. Thanks for the review. \m/

wonderful.

aaah, the swaying melody... the strings... they emit a tone so pure... so depressed, they have a story to tell, and yet I can never understand it...

I loved it, without a doubt, a true great.

But enough with my appreciation to the piece, allow me to make suggestions.

I'm not sure if you can do it with your VST, but add a vibrato effect to the string, so that it wavers as the note holds on, why? Because doing this gives the feeling of fragility, of something so easily broken, and destroyed, it adds a lot of sadness.

I would have liked to hear the flute in this piece louder. I think I heard one dueting with some strings, it should definatly be louder then that man, maybe playings its own sad melody.

Great way to end it, that I truly appreciated.

5/5 from me Grumbleduke, keep them coming, i'll keep on listening.

Grumbleduke responds:

Wow, thank you. Your suggestions make perfect sense, I see them (well pseudo-hear them) working. What you heard was flute and english horn (octaves), someone plays guess the instrument well. Sometimes I put instruments in for their timbre rather than as a second melody as a rudimentary 2-part harmony. One problem; I no longer have access to Garageband (which is capable of making those alterations), so I'm back to Cakewalk Crud Audio for now. Perhaps after some saving up I'll have my own copy of it. Thank you indeed for your praise.

Neat loop.

This song flows rather well Misery.

The distortion levels on that kick is far too high man, it distorts way above the normal, but then again, I know you are into experimentation, so this could very well have been intentional, it does present an interesting air to it.

The melody is catchy and simple, its repetitive, but it makes for a good loop.

Easily usable in flash's, and after all, isn't that why we're here ^^.

4/5 from me Misery, keep them coming.

Misery666 responds:

Yeah, I agree. The distortion is too loud and I need to lower the volume for it. I haven't got around to re-producing. I just make a best effort at something I do and evaluate it. I will soon lower the volume for it and re-write this piece into a entire song.

Flying to my own little world...

I've listened to this piece at least 40 times already, but what the hell, another 30 never hurt nobody ^^.

That high pitched sound you have coming and going repeatedly, is really entertaining, its like a constant reminder to me, of the world you've cast me in, gentle, yet firm.

A bit after the middle, where you begin using all the filters and introduce that pad, and join it off with the clapping... was my ABSOLUTE favorite part, I don't know why, it just stuck to me, and I felt like clapping along, like a gate that allowed me to live with the crowd.

Sorry, I think strangely when I listen to music >_>.

Regardless 5/5 from me. I would give you suggestions, however I am not that well versed in music of this grand scale, so I will not waste both our times by suggesting useless ideas.

Keep them coming William ^^.

MattBlair responds:

You make me blush Maestro. Thanks for the wonderful review. And try not to be so hard on yourself. You keep up the good work with your classical! We should collab, I like your melody work.
