Very nice

are these recorded? It has that recorded kind of sound to them. And if they are, you play pretty damn fine.

I'm a classical composer myself, so I pay a lot of attention to melody and structure, which I think you have both. Very calming, very cool. Loved the oboe solo.

5/5 from me Mikhail_Gorbechev. Keep them coming.

Mikhail-Gorbechev responds:

It was actully virtual instruments but thanks for the good score. I will make more I make about 2 a day.

not bad, pretty neat

the very first song I made sounds something like this, only much worse X_x.

Keep messing around, you'll get better.

Interesting sounds... not sure from where you got them.

Keep at it Pyro, everybody starts from somewhere.

Pyro-Cloud responds:

thanks man

Friggen too much :D!

awesome! I loved the melody, the whole feel to the song. The random attacks of hard core melody was a bit strange at first, but when you stuck to it, it REALLY sounded awesome.

One of the better general rock tracks EVER. Awesome riff's, loved them all.

Ending was supurb.

5/5 from me SpasmGuitar, keep them coming!

Damn awesome!

if you made this loop flawlessly, and sent it to Liljim, i'm nearly 100% sure they would consider putting it up on the front page. THis is a very catchy, very moving song. I'm a classical composer, so I put a lot of emphasis on feel and mood of the song, both of which you have excelled at here.

My short techno loop doesn't even compare :P.

5/5 from me Yoshiko, good stuff, keep them coming.

KuroiRyu responds:

I'm terribly disappointed that this loop didn't loop as well as I intended, I am even more disappointed that my PC crashed and I lost all data before I could correct it.

Nevertheless I'll see what I can do about it some day in the near future. :p

EDIT: Nevermind, it's a lost cause lol

Impressive

The song sounds DAMN amazing JohnF_N, but I really REALLY don't think those random tempo changes were enjoyable T-T, and there was a fairly good level of distortion, though this I can understand because of all the crazy bass going up and down and left and right.

Melody was too cool, and then you jump right away into another one, but there was no transition for it. It seemed quite random.

The melody for the second one was pretty cool as well.

Definatly getting better JohnF_N

I hope to see more from you ^^.

4/5 from me.

johnfn responds:

Thanks a lot for the review and I'm sorry for being to lazy to respond to it. The increasing tempo was so that you could get the best out of each part (some parts sound good faster, some slower)

The transitions are mostly my fault - you have a good point there :P

Thanks for the review.

Impressive

how interesting, techno sounds, with a flute as its lead. Now theres an idea!

I agree, it's not really mastered, but the melody and the feel of the song are both very exceptional. Loved the percussional stuff!

I did a song with techno and classical attributes, but I don't think it turned out as good as this X_x.

The flute reminds me zelda like games.

Great stuff Fraging_u

5/5 from me, keep them coming.

Fraging-U responds:

Am really glad you like my stuff I still got plenty of stuff to submit and even thinking bout some DnB. Yea but someone voted a zero. This is still newgrounds not the best place for audio so its kinda weak :(

As for the flute I really try and stay unique but alot of my songs blend in.
This was insprired by a song from Dowland btw

Sweet

this song is just MESHED with chaos, yet it's an ordered chaos, a tamed choas, which is actually a very difficult thing to pull off (heh, unless it was unintended).

This short piece loops DAMN fine, and has a ton of images and emotion.

5/5 from me Rawrthaas.

Too friggen awesome man.

heh, I was really skeptical about that transition at the beginning Redse7en, it was such an echoey light synth at the beginning, and then right away the heavy synth. However upon careful consideration, I think that may work out. I think a transition aid would have been nice, but not absolutely necessary.

Great melody as usual, I think it's safe to say that for pretty much every song.

I really like how this song fluctuates in voices and sounds so much. It has that one familiar synth in the back, which provides a stable foundation, that air of familiarity, which allows you to do pretty much anything else on top of it.

Really simple, but effective percussions.

I feel like i'm repeating myself in every review X_x, I blame you. Stop making things that make me repeat myself.

To break the chain...

you sux!

Ouch, that actually hurt to write...

okay, not trying that again.

I realy like the metal hitting sound at the end, heh, don't know why, but it reminded me of a blacksmith.

You guys having fun in summer, dancing around, and then suddenly this blacksmith runs smack middle and begins making this sword.

Strange indeed.

I believe this is my last review for all your songs so far. Keep them coming Redse7en, and PLEASE notify me when you put something new. My email's in my profile.

5/5 from me again.

Redse7en responds:

The beginning of the song was suposed to be in my head watching the sunset innocently and as the last view of it leaves the horizon thats when the fun begins. The bass sound I found for that was a fluke. It was suposed to be something else but I lowered it an octet and discovered it sounded awesome as my bass. Pretty funny how that works out. As for the end it still has the same hard hitting sound in the main part but it got drounded out by hard hats and cymbals. I guess it could signifying goin back to work or something :P Thank you for all these reviews today. Ill be spending the rest of the day responding to them in full detail cause its nice talking with you again. I left you a pretty long email about stuff. Freggin get on instant messanger or email me back and we can talk further :P

For the person who said he might be better then ParagonX9, I do believe you are mistaken, he is already at that level.

At least I believe so anyways ^^.

I don't know why you named this "The Technician", but thanks to that, now I have this image of some psychotic Technician, fixing things at random scenes, not even looking at what he's fixing, just straight ahead, eyes twitching.

*fuse blows out*

See, look what you did!

Leaving that behind.

Again, it is the synths that really caught my attention. Where do you find/make these, I don't think i've ever heard them anywhere else (well, 98% of them to be precise, I've heard the snare sound everywhere ;))

Loved the ending, was very abrupt, but in a good way.

How do you get so many synths, without crazy distortion of overpowering? Seriously, you've got mad skillz. Since I can't eat your brain, and destroy your soul to claim your knowledge, you must teach me one day ^^.

I have nothing else to say that doesn't classify as ZROW MAI GRAWD, rant, so i'll stop it here.

5/5 from me again Redse7en... stop claiming my fives so easily guy, make a crap song, so I can vote 4/5 and be like "HAH! THIS ONE ONLY TEH GETS 4!!!11!"

keep them coming ^^.

Redse7en responds:

Thanks so much for that compliment! You made my day! The Technician was the title I had the same mental image in my head but he was making gadgets and during the break it sounded like he was showing it off, then back to work. I get these synths from making my own either fully or partially custom synths. Its great how infinate the possibilities are when math is involved. Actually knowing what knob does what helps out dramatically especially when your comparing two or even three different synths at the same time. In this song alone I threw away hours worth of work just to get the sounds working with eachother. The melody is my main focal point and if I still got time left and I'm not too exhausted I try and work on drums the same exact way. Everything has to be perfect or the song wont pop out at you :) I work hard for my 5's hehe. Nice to read such a kind review. Thank you much!

Intensely woven!

Time for another crazy Image!

OMG, those bells Redse7en, those bells were what captivated me RIGHT AWAY. I could not stop listening if I wanted to.

The man stands on the pinnacle of a massive Church's tower, his arms spread out, the wind pushing his back, with the right force, it could send him hurtling, yet this world would not hurt him. Not today. He stands laughing, this world bends to his will.

I can't even describe the image i'm getting, so i'll stop trying, and get to the review ^^.

Nice buildup at the beginning, I was kinda skeptical about it, but then the bells came in, and I was teh hooked. Maybe it's my intense interest in bell sounds.

This song commands a lot of power, a lot of dark power to be more precise. I can hear lots of subtle dark undertones, of malice really. I credit this duely to the bells really. Like triumphant roars at the sky, they declare their existence, and the person standing above them.

I am equally impressed with some of the background synths, and soundeffects, great use of them. Near the end, with that synth change, it just made the image so much stronger, and so much more moving.

I don't know if you have done it already, but I think reverbing the snares a tad, would help make it sound neater, however i'm no expert in Techno/Trance like you, so don't take that advice too seriously ;).

So far, this is my favorite one of yours.
5/5 from me Redse7en, but only because I can't go higher. Keep them coming man, loving all of this.

Redse7en responds:

Heh well this is the kind of image I wanted people to see if you saw my audio advertisement on page 70'ish. My job is complete! For this song anyways :) The bells were fully experimental because I added them in after the song was created. Yes, I was hooked too. I personally thought the song sounded dark before the bells then when they were added I couldn't even see the song in a shadow anymore. I tried reverbing the snare but in a drum and bass beat like this it's hard to get it exactly precise so that the snare dosn't get drownded out or too overpowering. Unless I add one snare with reverb on top of the regular one it might work but, you know the blatant feeling you get when someone uses two drum sets and they dont seem to fit together? I wanted to avoid that :P You give great advice though but I was one step ahead with that one hehe. Thanks again for a great review!
